September marks Recovery Month which encourages communities to come together to celebrate people's recovery journeys, while fostering hope and kindness within Dundee. It is an opportunity to challenge stigma, and a chance to build the visibility and accessibility of recovery through raising awareness of what support is available to people within the city.
Dundee has a great recovery community, with many services working hard to support those on their recovery journeys and their families. Similar to previous years, TSI Dundee (formally DVVA) have developed a programme of events with the invaluable support from recovery services and organisations.
Starting on the 31st August, Overdose Awareness Day, throughout September recovery groups and organisations will be hosting a wide range of events across the city. These events include creative sessions, workshops, walks, open days, training opportunities, and more. Recovery Month closes with the Festival of Hope, a chance to celebrate recovery across Dundee.
Whether you or someone you know is looking for support, advice, or an opportunity to connect with others, there is an event for everyone.
You can find the full event details in the Recovery Month 2026 Programme.
