We are asking people to consider how the use of language can negatively impact a person’s recovery from drug and alcohol use. Using negative language about people with dependence issues can be a barrier to their recovery. Instead let’s use language that encourages hope and shows that recovery is possible.
Our #nomorelabels campaign aims to increase public awareness of the impact of stigma on people who experience challenges with drug use. On this resource page you will find a range of information to help you understand why addressing substance use-related stigma can help everyone and what role you can play.
This campaign is being delivered by NHS Tayside on behalf of Dundee Alcohol and Drug Partnership.
