The ADP have been hard at work, updating the usability guide for the Dundee Alcohol and Drug Prevention Framework. 

This training aims to increase awareness, knowledge and provides an opportunity to explore current and emerging trends with psychostimulants. Harm reduction and support strategies will be explored.

Dundee City Council’s Protecting People team have identified the need to develop a robust trauma informed approach to ensure there are safe and meaningful processes in place for people with lived experience of trauma to contribute and influence decision making within local local multi-agency governance and strategic planning arrangements across Public Protection Partnerships. Stakeholders have sought to review the inclusion of people with lived experience of trauma in strategic forums, in partnership with the Authentic Voice project.

Strathmartine Community Empowerment Team (SCET) engaged with a range of city-wide practitioners to discuss possible need for support in the local community for people using drugs.  Discussions resulted in agreement that a free café in the heart of the community could provide an opportunity for local people with addictions to attend and share their thoughts on what services and activities would be of benefit to them and others in their local community.
